In Microsoft’s recent publisher and development, purchasing run for the Xbox brand. The deal with Activision Blizzard is the biggest gaming industry deal of all time. Activision Blizzard has been one of the largest and most popular gaming publishers in the video game industry.

Activision Blizzard has some of the most awaited and coveted games under its banner. Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Candy Crush, and Overwatch. The company also makes mobile games through its King mobile arm.

The last deal of Microsoft was for Zenimax-Bethesda, worth $7.5 billion. This deal was also one of the biggest at that time. Since Microsoft is in the works of capturing Activision Blizzard, the news is causing doubts in the market.

Why is the market not happy with Activision Blizzard?

The company has many lawsuits alleging discrimination, mistreatment of women, and firing dozens of employees in the rise of investigations. The company is still under heavy fire from the court and is yet to face consequences.

The company’s stocks also hammered down around 30% in the past year. The current valuation stands at around $50 billion, making it an interesting and attractive deal. But the $70 billion value for the deal is raising doubts and mistrust amongst investors.

The great magnitude of the deal has got many eyes and ears upon it. It will be interesting to see how the deal comes out, as it is still under wraps with no official comments from the team of Microsoft.

What happens to the games? Will they be Xbox exclusive?

The only question revolving around gamers’ heads is what will happen to the games? Will they become exclusive to Xbox/Game Pass/Microsoft environment ecosystem? Call of Duty is one of the most-awaited and best-selling series of the year.

Microsoft has given a statement but it’s without any solid confirmation. The statement said that they will continue offering the games to all consoles and platforms. They plan to support the communities as Activision Blizzard makes games for phones, tablets, laptops/PCs, and consoles. 

Game Pass has more than 25 million subscribers, and this deal could make a rise in the count. What might happen is that due to the deal the games will be released first on Microsoft’s ecosystem than on other platforms. The official statement is yet to be out, stay tuned for more info!
