Ceeco Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1986 as “Cinesonic Electronic Equipment Pvt. Ltd” to address the Cinema & Sound opportunities which existed during that time. Ceeco, a trusted name in the AV & IT System (Audio-Video distributors in India) Integration industry has set new benchmarks in design quality, technological expertise, and project management in diverse segments like Auditoriums, Conference Rooms, Board Rooms, Seminar Rooms, Broadcast and Post Production Studios, Network Operating Centers, Digital Signage Applications, Distance Learning, etc. Over 3 decades, they have evolved into a multi-product / divisional entity with a strong network of distributors and dealers across India. To maintain a sharp focus in every activity, their divisions function independently and comprise highly experienced professionals.
In a talk with Mr. Sanjeev Bhasin – Founder and Managing Director and Mr. Rahul Bhasin – Director at Ceeco Technologies, they shared company’s journey and how are they transforming the sector.
What were the initial challenges you faced?
In the early stages, there were common challenges like lack of funds, lack of customer base, lack of opportunities, etc. However, the long and consistent journey and sticking to the same field provided us with the base from where to grow.
- Which was that point that triggered the growth of the company?
There were two points that we can refer to (1.) Execution of Parliament Library Project within the limited period and with limited resources. We learned to manage big projects and continue to date to successfully implement these across India. (2.) Evolution into a distribution company across India for multiple AV & IT products. These are the two points that triggered the growth of the company, which resulted in Ceeco becoming a brand name in the AV industry.
- How have the company graphs changed since the foundation? Can you share a few statistics?
With the increase in the company profile by being a value-added distributor for various multinational brands and also by increasing the reach geographically, there is a consistent increase in the company turnover.
- What is the reason behind your company’s long-standing success?
We have achieved all this with team efforts. All the team members perform well under the guidance of our leadership team. Our team members’ passion and dedication towards creating unique solutions have helped us to establish ourselves as a niche in AV solutions landscape.
Long and sustained relationships– be they with OEMs, customers, partners, team members etc. are key to our success.
- What are the products/services the company focuses on? How are your services different from those in the market?
Ceeco offers many AV products such as VC & UCC Collaboration Solutions, Wireless Presentation Systems, Meeting Room Booking Systems, AV control systems, Display Devices, etc. Our solutions involve Video Walls, High Brightness Projectors, Control systems, Audio Systems, Lightning & Acoustics Solutions, etc.
As a responsible player in this field, it has always been our endeavour to bring a certain degree of value to whatever we offer to our collaborators and because of this, we have our presence visible in many cities across the country. We go a long way in holding hands with our dealers & partners and in taking them through the drill, where they gather the knowledge about the new products & solutions. Not only that, we extend our support to them for marketing that brand.

- How do you decide to take the company a step further in terms of your products/services?
By introducing innovative products and solutions which add value and prove to be a useful solution for the end customer. Considering the pandemic situation, hybrid solutions for both work from office and work from home were introduced to fulfil the customer needs.
- Is there any new addition to the list of products/services? Anything exciting you would like to share?
COVID-19 has brought revolutionary changes to our lifestyle. Work from home, Social Distancing, Face masks have become the new normal. In this situation, we have focussed on introducing VC & UCC solutions catering to various price points. Thinker series from Cybernetyx – Germany, Mercury & FLEX series from Crestron-USA, ClickShare CX Collaboration series from Barco-Belgium, and Professional Camera series from Marshall-USA are the new exciting products that will charter our growth shortly.
- How has the technology transformed traditional way of business?
“Technology has completely transformed the business and will continue to do so”. Organizations are continuously evolving and are adopting new ways of working & learning together. Successful collaboration requires clear communication of ideas, goals & strategies, whether in the same room or outside. Upcoming technologies like Artificial Intelligence & Analytics finding their presence in every product and solution will drive business growth shortly.

- Can you please brief us about your professional experience?
AV industry was very new to me initially. After on-the-job training from senior colleagues, exploring various AV products & solutions of renowned brands like Barco, Delta, Crestron, and many others, meeting with the partner community, AV associates& end customers across India helped me to understand deeply and enhance my knowledge and skills about the AV Industry.
It has been a very good experience so far &, I am sure; it will help in introducing new changes & implementation of the same in times to come.
- What are the key achievements of your entrepreneurial journey?
As I am into the early stage of the entrepreneurial journey, there are not many achievements to mention. I am still learning from failures and successes and in due course, this should lead to achievements worth mentioning.
- How do you look after your employees? What makes your team unique?
As an entrepreneur, we maintain a suitable & professional work environment for our employees. We properly guide them to achieve organizational goals and at the same time, we allow them the freedom to provide their inputs. We also organize annual recreation for our employees to relax and bond with co-workers outside the office environment.
- According to you, what are the basic factors that businesses in the digital landscape should focus on to get better results?
The COVID-19 pandemic brought a new reality for many people who could not even make simple actions through a smartphone before. It was a period full of risks and new challenges, both for businesses and people alike. However, this has hastened the adoption of VC platforms and people at all levels have become conversant with these – be it via the most popular app WhatsApp or more professional ones like MS Teams, Google Meet Now, Zoom, Skype, etc. All businesses will have to focus on being more IT-friendly, find new ways to reach out to their customers digitally, and also provide innovative, practical &hybrid solutions.
- One person who you admire the most?
I admire my father, the founder & M.D. of Ceeco the most. I have learned a lot from his journey and will use all this learning in charting out future paths personally for myself and professionally for the company.
- Whose business story do you find the most inspiring?
For me, the most inspiring business story is of Mr. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google
- Constant vigilance- a need or a strategy? Please share your views.
Constant Vigilance is a need. It can apply to any kind of individual or a company. By being vigilant, one can be prepared for unplanned situations. Individuals or companies will be able to adapt themselves easily if they are vigilant to their surroundings at all times.
- It’s a rat race out there. How do you cope with that?
In every field, there is a rat race. As a company, we need to identify & focus on our strengths and should offer uniqueness in our offerings &solutions. For this, we need to continuously upgrade our skills by remaining updated.
