New Veteran Organization to be Announced During Louisville’s First Techstars Startup Week

National veteran-focused program to help Kentucky military personnel and families

LOUISVILLE, KY. (November 8, 2019) – On Monday, November 11, the Louisville Entrepreneur Acceleration Partnership (LEAP), a public-private partnership that aims to amplify the Louisville region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, will announce a new program in Kentucky that will support local veterans and their families throughout the journey of starting their own business. The announcement will be made on Veterans Day at the Techstars Startup Week Opening Party, which kicks off a week-long event dedicated to helping local entrepreneurs and innovators get access to the resources they need to grow, and to celebrate entrepreneurship.

The local chapter of this national nonprofit will be announced to hundreds of local entrepreneurs and innovators on Veterans Day, including Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. With Kentucky being home to thousands of military personnel and veterans, and only 45 minutes away from one of the top 20 largest military bases in the U.S. – Fort Knox, Louisville Entrepreneur Acceleration Partnership is working to connect local veterans to entrepreneurial resources they need to be successful business owners and to be a part of the area’s growing startup community.
