ChicMic is a software development company with core forte being Apps and Games development on mobile (iOS and Android) and web platforms. We offer end-to-end solutions from ideation to launch.

What were the initial challenges you faced?
Finding talent in the market that is the right fit into ChicMic’s culture is the biggest challenge and we have been facing this all these years. However, our interview process is very strong leading to only the right candidates.
We being a company with a great technical skillset and strength were not able to find the experienced candidates as the candidates’ skillset did not match their experience. So, we started hiring the right talent from the college campuses and groomed them as per our requirements. As of date, this talent is our core strength.
Which was that point that triggered the growth of the company?
We have been consistently growing year after year and there is no single point that triggered the growth of ChicMic.
The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.

How do you decide to take ChicMic a step further in terms of your products/services?
Our vision is to constantly grow this company and hence we do not leave any growth opportunity that comes our way be it expanding our services, searching for direct clients, opening sales offices in other countries, etc.
Is there any new addition to the list of products/services? Anything exciting you would like to share?
This is a continuous process and we take on all the new services that come our way. In the last 2 years, we have added Blockchain, Python, Flutter, RoR, Ionic, Roblox, Three.js, and Build box development.
Can you please brief us about your professional experience?
After completing my B.E. Computer Science from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, I joined Quark Media House as Software Engineer in July 2001. I spent 9 years developing Java-based Enterprise applications including Quark proprietary Workflow Management System and Content Management System. My key roles included designing, architect, and developing these enterprise applications based on the Spring framework and the J2EE platform.
Then I co-founded ChicMic wherein we developed in-house apps and games for the iOS and Android stores. We developed more than 60 games and apps and a couple of them reached the #1 rank in different stores. Also, one of our games was published by Clickgamer /Chillingo (the original publisher of ‘Angry Birds’ and ‘Cut the Rope’). In 2012, I co-founded ChicMic with the details above.

How do you look after your employees? What makes your team unique?
I have worked as an employee for 9 years and have been on the other side myself at ChicMic we frame policies that are employee friendly and beneficial to both employees and the employer. Also, our core employees are part of decision-making as well which in turn means decisions are from employees’ perspectives only.
Our team is unique as we have the best of talent in the industry (thanks to our interview process) and each one of them is groomed to work ethically and with honesty. Our team makes sure that we fulfill our commitment and because of this our clients have a huge trust in us as a company. And our responsibility is to take care of their professional and financial growth.
One person who you admire the most?
I admire Ratan Tata for his generosity and impeccable work ethic.

Steve Jobs’s success story has been a true source of motivation for me for a long.

Constant vigilance- a need or a strategy? Please share your views.
It’s a need as no two people are the same. Just as our children need constant vigilance so does our business especially since our workforce is quite young. The vision, experience, and foresight that come with experience come in handy with constant vigilance to handle things correctly before it’s too late.
It’s a rat race out there. How do you cope with that?
With my 19 years of experience, I have acquired the wisdom to not get into the rat race but focus on doing our work diligently and providing quality service. This eventually leads to success and also maintains a work-life balance for everyone at ChicMic.
