From Service Engineer to Strategy Architect

Venkatraman Swaminathan began his career as a Service Engineer at Voltas Limited, where he developed a strong technical foundation early on. His career gradually transitioned into strategic roles in product management and business leadership, particularly during his time at Emerson Network Power, where he played a key role in establishing the company’s product management function.

His leadership capabilities became more pronounced at APW President Systems, where he managed sales and technical services. A major milestone came when he took on the role of Managing Director at Uniflair India Private Limited. Under his leadership, the company significantly expanded its footprint across India and the SAARC region, strengthening its position in the cooling solutions market.

In 2013, Venkatraman joined Schneider Electric and went on to hold several senior leadership roles, including Managing Director of President Systems Limited. 

From 2017 to 2021, he served as Vice President and Country General Manager for the Greater India Region, overseeing operations in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and other neighboring countries.

Following this, he moved to Singapore to lead the Secure Power business for East Asia and Japan, where he focused on delivering reliable, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions in a rapidly evolving market. After a successful stint in Singapore, he returned to India in 2024 to head Schneider Electric. His three years abroad sharpened his expertise in energy-efficient and sustainable solutions. Bringing a wealth of global experience, he re-established strong connections with customers and partners, who had seen his exceptional leadership firsthand.   • With AI adoption growing at a CAGR of over 20%, rack power densities are expected to rise significantly—from the current 8–10 kW to as high as 30 kW per rack. This change will increase the need for high-efficiency power distribution units (PDUs) and reliable uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
  • To handle the higher thermal loads, liquid immersion cooling is becoming more popular. This technology improves energy efficiency and reduces operating costs, supporting the broader push to lower carbon emissions and meet ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets.
