Nvidia is rolling out its highly anticipated “Smooth Motion” frame generation feature to the RTX 40-series GPUs, expanding a capability previously exclusive to its RTX 50-series. First spotted in the new 590.26 preview driver released on July 13, 2025, the update enables AI-powered frame interpolation for smoother gameplay, even in titles that don’t support DLSS or native frame-gen tools.
