The Moment That Changed Everything

At the age of five, Josselyne dreamed of becoming a singer. One day, while sitting in a 1968 Chevy Impala convertible with her father, who was a painter, she noticed he had stopped painting. When she asked why, he casually commented, “You can’t do your art as a career.” At that moment, she accepted it as the truth, and it quietly became a barrier to pursuing her dream. For years, she didn’t entertain the idea of singing professionally, believing it was impossible.

Fifteen years later, during a transformative workshop that she was participating in, she had a realization: the decision she made as a five-year-old wasn’t necessarily the truth; it was just a decision made by a five-year-old. That insight gave her a sense of freedom to finally pursue her dream. Within three months, she secured a record deal, and that record reached #1 on the Billboard Charts, unseating Whitney Houston, who had held the top spot for 14 weeks with “I Will Always Love You.”

This experience became the foundation of The Art of Being Unmessablewith. From that moment on, Josselyne committed herself to empowering people to live their dreams now, not someday, and to remain unshakable no matter what life throws at them. For nearly 40 years, she has been coaching individuals to embrace this mindset and methodology to create meaningful, lasting impact in their lives.

Meaning Behind “Unmessablewith”

The name “The Art of Being Unmessablewith” was inspired by the idea that true strength isn’t about being tough or ignoring emotions; it’s about maintaining focus on creation, vision, and fulfillment, no matter the circumstances or people around you. For Josselyne Herman-Saccio, it reflects her core philosophy of helping individuals move from reacting to situations to consciously creating outcomes.

This skill, which takes practice and intention, is at the heart of her work, allowing her to guide clients in mastering their reactions, shifting to the space of creation, and turning challenges into opportunities. In essence, she has transformed her “art” into a career, making this philosophy a living, practical approach for others.

Disappointment and the ‘Unmessablewith’ Reset

One of the most defining challenges in Josselyne’s journey came early in her pursuit of a music career. She auditioned for a girl group called Boy Krazy, and the final decision came down to her and one other candidate. Initially, she was told that the spot had gone to the other girl, leaving her disappointed and discouraged. Instead of dwelling on the setback, Josselyne applied the principles of her “Be Unmessablewith” methodology.

She recognized her reaction, reset her mindset, and refocused on her vision of success. Taking immediate action, she created a list of 50 industry contacts to reach out to, and by the next morning, she received a call that the decision had been reversed, she got the spot. This experience became a powerful lesson in shifting quickly from reaction to creation, staying aligned with her goals, and turning challenges into breakthrough opportunities.

“Let Go To Let It Grow” Mindset

Advice for Future Professionals

Dear Readers,

When building a business, it’s important to stay rooted in your vision so that every goal and action comes from that vision, rather than being driven by circumstances, reasons, or mere survival. Many entrepreneurs fall into management mode, which can lead to burnout. True growth and innovation happen in creation mode, a space where ideas flourish and real impact is made. Unlike management, creation is where the magic happens.
