Delayed wound healing is a serious and often overlooked problem in healthcare. Without proper assessment tools, reliable treatment options, or clear clinical and billing support, patient care can quickly become inconsistent. Patients may struggle with wounds that take a long time to heal and face repeated infections. At the same time, doctors spend valuable time on paperwork, supply issues, and reimbursement challenges instead of focusing on patient care.
Dr.Christine Grogan, DHA, MHA, MS, Chief Commercial Officer at New Horizon Medical Solutions, works to solve these challenges and improve healthcare delivery. She creates practical strategies that make advanced wound care solutions more accessible and ensures that clinical, operational, and commercial processes work smoothly together. Her approach allows healthcare providers to focus on patients rather than administrative obstacles. At the same time, she drives growth while championing ethical practices and patient-centered care, ensuring better outcomes and a stronger, more reliable healthcare system.
A personal experience sparks a lifelong passion for healthcare
Dr. Christine Grogan’s journey in healthcare began with a personal experience. Her father suffered a severe stroke at age 46 when she was just a child. He then underwent multiple surgeries at Shands Neurosurgery University of Florida. Seeing the impact of quality care inspired her to make a difference in patient care.
As a result, she earned a degree in neuroscience from the University of Florida and worked on the same neurosurgery floor that her dad was on. She planned to attend medical school, but financial challenges led her to start as a pharmaceutical sales representative. She continued her education, earning a master’s in business and a master’s in healthcare administration at Nova Southeastern University, a master’s in healthcare science at Brown University, and a doctorate in hospital administration at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She also founded a 501c3 called BRAVE (Breast Restoration AdVocacy and Education) Coalition Foundation. (Bravecoalition.org)
Dr. Christine Grogan’s career progressed steadily through corporate America. She started as a drug representative, then moved to Pfizer in New York City as a marketing executive, and then later joined Allergan, where she contributed to the launch of Botox globally as a marketing director and helped lead the launch of Natrelle™ breast implants as Senior Director of Marketing. She eventually shifted to wound care, taking on leadership roles and developing solutions to support clinicians and patients. Her journey reflects resilience, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to improving healthcare.
Facing promotion bias
Early in her career at Pfizer headquarters in New York City, Dr. Christine Grogan faced challenges as a woman in corporate leadership. Despite working hard and receiving recognition as the face of Pfizer.com alongside the CEO, she was passed over for promotion due to false rumors that affected her advancement. This experience taught her resilience and reinforced her commitment to supporting other women. She believes in lifting others up, focusing on doing the right thing, and letting her work speak for itself, knowing she cannot control the actions of others.
Six months of impact after promotion
Dr. Christine Grogan was recently promoted from Senior Vice President of Marketing to Chief Commercial Officer, quickly making a significant impact. In her first six months, she introduced new initiatives, including the creation of the New Horizon Medical Solutions medical advisory board to provide stronger clinical guidance and support. She also identified and presented multiple acquisition opportunities to the CEO, several of which are currently in progress. Today, she oversees a major part of the company’s commercial strategy, focusing on driving growth while keeping operations and patient-centered solutions fully aligned.

Recognized as one of the top up and coming companies in wound care
New Horizon Medical Solutions was founded to address critical gaps in healthcare, especially in wound care. The company started as a distributor of skin substitutes, but changes in CMS reimbursement policies required a shift to manufacturing. Under strategic leadership, the company expanded its offerings to include additional wound care treatments, diagnostic technologies, and advanced therapies like negative pressure wound therapy. These solutions help healthcare providers deliver more effective care and improve patient outcomes.
Since its early days with just four or five employees, the company has grown to around 125 team members and is now recognized as one of the top wound care providers in the industry. This growth highlights its rapid development, strong reputation, and significant impact on healthcare delivery.
