In every industry, there are leaders who do more than build a business. They create a movement, inspiring people to see strength not as a passing goal but as a way of life rooted in confidence, discipline, and purpose. Their work goes beyond measurable results, shaping habits, mindsets, and long-term change through steady guidance and a clear vision.
Natisha Duffy, Owner of Train with Tish Inc, is one such leader. With over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, she has built her career on helping people develop strength, resilience, and confidence. Her coaching approach is direct and practical, grounded in a balanced philosophy that prioritises long-term progress over quick fixes. Through Train with Tish and her work as an online strength coach, she continues to support clients with a message that is both simple and powerful: lasting success is built on balance, consistency, and commitment.
Thirty Years of Showing Up
Natisha Duffy’s journey into health, fitness, and wellness began with a personal transformation that gradually grew into a career spanning more than 30 years. Throughout that time, she has remained dedicated to helping others build strength, resilience, and confidence. Her background is broad and varied, encompassing marathon running, competitive bodybuilding, and challenging endurance events such as Tough Mudder and Spartan races. That depth of experience across multiple disciplines has given her a distinctive ability to coach clients across a wide range of fitness goals and needs.
Over the course of her career, she has worked with an impressive range of clients, including celebrities such as Tate McRae, professional hockey players, and motocross and race car athletes. She also trained Sheldon Kennedy to compete on the popular television series Battle of the Blades, where he went on to win. Her expertise has earned her wide recognition within the industry, including the titles of Impact Magazine’s Top Trainer in 2018 and Top Instructor in 2019.
Now navigating pre-menopause herself, Natisha is deeply passionate about showing women that midlife can remain vibrant and fulfilling with the right mindset and thoughtful lifestyle habits. Her coaching philosophy is grounded in a belief she returns to consistently: “Mastering balance, not perfection, is the key to lasting success.” It is a principle that reflects not only how she coaches others but how she continues to live and grow herself.
Shaped by Every Setback
One of the biggest obstacles Natisha faced was learning that expertise alone does not guarantee visibility. For years, she focused almost entirely on becoming the best coach possible, investing in education, gaining hands-on experience, and developing results-driven programs. Over time, she came to understand that skill and knowledge, while essential, are only part of the equation. As an entrepreneur, she also had to learn marketing, communication, and leadership.
Navigating constant industry changes presented another challenge. Over three decades, she witnessed trends rise and fall, social media reshape the way businesses operate, and misinformation spread rapidly. Rather than chasing every new development, she chose to stay grounded in principles that consistently deliver results, an approach that sometimes meant slower growth but built lasting trust and credibility.
On a personal level, her experience with ageing and perimenopause proved to be one of her most profound lessons. Facing unexpected physical and mental challenges that her professional training had not fully prepared her for deepened her empathy for the women she coaches and reinforced her belief that people are far more capable than they realise when they focus on what they can control.
Her greatest lesson, she reflects, is that success rarely comes from talent alone. It comes from resilience: the ability to keep showing up when plans fall apart, adapt when circumstances shift, and hold firm to one’s values even when shortcuts seem appealing. Every obstacle, she believes, has shaped both the coach and the person she is today.

Strong, Capable, and Just Getting Started
What sets Natisha Duffy’s approach apart is that she does not coach women to simply lose weight. She coaches them to build a life they are genuinely excited to live. With more than 30 years in the fitness industry, she has come to understand that most women do not need more information. They need a simpler, more realistic way to apply what they already know, and that the best long-term results come from mastering the basics.
Her philosophy is built around strength in its fullest sense: physical, mental, and emotional. She teaches women to stop viewing exercise as punishment and food as something to fear, shifting the focus to building muscle, improving mobility, and creating habits that support a vibrant, active life. Central to this is her “Vitality First” approach, built around a single guiding question: “What habits will help you feel energetic, capable, confident, and independent for decades to come?” Alongside this, she emphasises non-negotiables: small daily actions such as strength training, prioritising protein, walking, sleep, and mobility work that anchor health regardless of how busy life becomes.
Perhaps the most important mindset shift she teaches is moving away from motivation and toward self-trust. As she puts it, “Motivation comes and goes. Self-trust is built every time you follow through on a promise you’ve made to yourself.” Her broader goal is to help women see ageing not as a decline but as an opportunity to become stronger, wiser, and more intentional. When women stop chasing perfection and start pursuing strength, she believes, everything changes.
When Women Stop Chasing and Start Building
One of the most common patterns Natisha Duffy observes in her clients is the tendency to seek the fastest solution rather than the most sustainable one. Many women arrive overwhelmed by conflicting information, caught up in chasing the latest trend, and attempting to overhaul their entire lives at once. A large number have spent years believing that eating less, doing more cardio, and relying on motivation are the keys to consistency. By the time they seek her guidance, many are exhausted, frustrated, and convinced that their age, hormones, or metabolism are to blame.
Her approach challenges that mindset entirely. She teaches women that lasting results come from mastering the fundamentals: strength training, adequate protein intake, prioritising recovery, managing stress, and building habits that can be realistically maintained over time.
The focus is on consistency over perfection and discipline over motivation.
She also encourages a broader shift in perspective, moving away from short-term goals tied to specific events and towards building a body that will remain strong and functional for decades. The goal, as she sees it, is not simply to look good in the short term but to be strong, capable, independent, and energetic at 50, 60, 70, and beyond.
When women stop chasing quick fixes and begin building a lifestyle they genuinely enjoy, she notes, the results extend far beyond physical change. They gain confidence, develop resilience, and experience the sense of freedom that comes from trusting themselves to follow through. In her view, that is where true and lasting transformation takes place.

The Moments That Define a Career
Among the many client stories that have shaped Natisha’s career, one stands out above the rest. When Eva came to her at the age of 69, she had been advised to undergo a hip replacement. Six months of working together on strength, mobility, and movement quality changed everything. Eva’s pain improved so significantly that she no longer required the surgery, and she went on to live an active, independent life for nearly another 20 years. For Natisha Duffy, it remains one of the proudest accomplishments of her career and a reminder that it is never too late to improve one’s quality of life.
While she has worked with professional athletes and celebrities, the stories that move her most are those of ordinary women doing extraordinary things, mothers who learned to prioritise themselves, women in midlife who rediscovered confidence, and clients who transformed their relationship with ageing entirely.
Two reflections, in particular, have stayed with her. “For the first time in years, I feel like I’m doing something for myself,” one client shared. Another told her, “You didn’t just change my body. You changed what I believe is possible for the rest of my life.”
Those moments, she says, mean more than any physical transformation. Her work is not simply about helping women lose weight or build muscle. It is about helping them reclaim confidence, independence, and belief in themselves, and that, for Natisha, is the kind of transformation that never gets old.

Strength, Simplicity, and What Comes Next
Natisha Duffy believes the wellness industry is approaching a significant turning point. As people grow increasingly overwhelmed by information, simplicity and sustainability are becoming more valuable than ever. While quick fixes and extreme diets continue to dominate much of the industry, a growing number of people are recognising that no supplement or wellness trend can replace the fundamentals of good health.
In the years ahead, she anticipates a greater emphasis on strength training, muscle preservation, and metabolic health, particularly for women in midlife. More women, she observes, are beginning to understand that building strength is about protecting their future, not just their appearance. She also foresees a rise in personalised wellness, with coaching shifting away from rigid programs and toward individualised strategies that account for lifestyle, hormones, and personal goals.
One challenge she identifies is the growing gap between information and implementation. Despite unprecedented access to health knowledge, many people remain less healthy and more disconnected from their bodies than ever before. The shift she hopes to see most is a change in how society views ageing, moving away from fear and toward a focus on remaining capable, energetic, and engaged in life.
“Sustainable wellness isn’t found in the next trend,” she says. “It’s found in consistently doing the things we already know work: moving our bodies, building strength, eating well, managing stress, sleeping deeply, and maintaining meaningful connections.” The future, she believes, belongs to those who make those habits a natural part of everyday life.
The Work That Goes Beyond the Weights
Beyond fitness training, Natisha Duffy’s mission has always been to help women recognise their own strength, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Many women arrive believing they are somehow broken or that they have missed their chance to feel strong and confident. Her role, she explains, is often less about teaching exercises and more about helping women challenge those deeply held beliefs.
She encourages women to stop measuring their worth by a number on the scale and to start measuring it by the promises they keep to themselves. Confidence, in her view, is not something one finds but something one builds. Resilience, she teaches, is a skill, and the goal is not to avoid adversity but to learn how to navigate it without abandoning oneself in the process.
The values that guide her coaching are integrity, accountability, resilience, and compassion. She believes in speaking honestly, even when the truth is difficult to hear. As she often tells her clients, “Discipline is one of the highest forms of self-respect.” That self-trust, she notes, becomes the foundation for lasting transformation far more reliably than motivation ever could.
Above all, she wants women to understand that ageing is not something to fear. Some of the strongest and most confident women she has worked with are in their fifties, sixties, and seventies. If there is one belief she hopes every client takes away, it is this: they are capable of far more than they ever imagined, and once a woman truly embraces that, it has the power to change every area of her life.

Open Letter to Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs, Wellness Professionals, and Readers Who Want to Create Meaningful Impact
Dear Friends, Leaders, and Dreamers,
As I look ahead, my goal is simple: to continue helping women realize that aging does not have to mean decline. Through Train with Tish, I want to reach and impact even more women who have been told that slowing down, gaining weight, losing strength, and accepting discomfort are simply part of getting older. I want to continue challenging that narrative and showing women what’s possible when they prioritize their health, build strength, and commit to themselves.
I’m also entering a new season of life myself. After more than 30 years in the fitness industry, I’m becoming increasingly focused on impact, freedom, and legacy. My goal is not just to build stronger bodies, but to help create stronger, more confident women who can fully embrace every chapter of their lives.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, wellness professionals, and leaders, my advice is this: stay true to your values, even when it’s harder than following the crowd. In today’s world, it’s easy to get distracted by trends, shortcuts, and what everyone else is doing. The people who make the greatest impact are the ones who remain authentic, continue learning, and genuinely care about the people they serve.
Don’t be afraid to evolve. Some of the biggest opportunities in my life came when I was willing to step into the unknown and trust my experience, intuition, and vision.
Most importantly, remember that success isn’t measured solely by income, followers, or recognition. It’s measured by the lives you touch, the problems you solve, and the positive ripple effect you leave behind. At the end of the day, that’s the legacy I hope to create—helping people believe that they are capable of more, regardless of their age, circumstances, or where they’re starting from.
With gratitude and belief in your potential,
Natisha Duffy
