There are a lot of people with little to no actual marketing experience entering this industry. They ask ChatGPT, “How to start a business with no money,” and it replies with something like “start a digital marketing agency, you just need a computer,” or they watch a few TikTok videos. They are aggressive with their marketing tactics and almost always over-promise and under-deliver. In my opinion, they are giving the industry a big black eye.

If you want to get into this industry, learn from a mentor first, not a talking head on a video trying to get ad revenue from your clicks or sell you a $29/month empty promise.

Since we white-label our service to agencies, we often work with agencies with no real-world experience in marketing. It’s so bad, we’ve had some of them ask us, “What’s Google Analytics?”
