Pollster Frank Luntz Criticises Trump’s Strategy: “Most Determined to Blow an Election | The Enterprise World

Renowned Republican pollster and strategist Frank Luntz has voiced sharp criticism of Donald Trump, claiming he has never seen a candidate more committed to sabotaging his own campaign. Luntz, who has worked for several high-profile GOP figures, including former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, took to social media to express his frustrations over Trump’s recent rhetoric.

Frank Luntz Urges Trump to Focus on Public Issues

In a post on Saturday, Frank Luntz condemned Trump’s latest public statements, particularly his promise to prosecute political opponents if he wins the 2024 election. “I have never seen a candidate more determined to blow an election,” Luntz wrote. He pointed out that instead of addressing key issues that matter to voters, like affordability and immigration security, Trump has been fixated on attacking his political rivals.

Frank Luntz’s comments were prompted by Trump’s posts on Truth Social, where the former president accused Democrats of cheating in the 2020 election, despite offering no evidence to support the claims. Trump’s message hinted at a plan to pursue legal action against those he believes were involved in electoral misconduct. “Instead of talking about affordability and immigration security (the top public issues), Trump is once again screaming about prosecuting his opponents,” Luntz remarked, urging the former president to shift his focus.

“Message to Donald: Focus on helping voters, not yourself,” Frank Luntz concluded. The pollster’s advice reflects growing concerns within the Republican Party about Trump’s campaign strategy, particularly as the 2024 election season begins to unfold.

Election Integrity Concerns Continue to Grow

Trump’s rhetoric has raised alarm bells for election experts and political figures alike. In his Truth Social post, Trump vowed that the 2024 election would be closely scrutinized and warned that anyone found guilty of electoral malpractice would face severe legal consequences. “WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long-term prison sentences,” Trump wrote.

This aggressive stance, combined with Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was rigged, has fueled concerns that he is laying the groundwork for challenging the legitimacy of the upcoming election. Republican Mayor John Giles of Mesa, Arizona, shared similar apprehensions. “They’ll claim everything went wrong if they lose. I’d be surprised if Trump doesn’t try to foment insurrection if he loses the election,” Giles warned earlier this month.

Election integrity experts have also weighed in on the situation. David Becker, from the Center for Election Innovation and Research, highlighted that Trump and his allies appear to be sowing distrust in the election process long before the majority of ballots have been cast. Becker stated, “A lot of false claims are masquerading as efforts to change policy to improve election integrity when in actuality they’re just designed to sow distrust in our system if Trump loses.”

The pattern of rhetoric from Trump and his supporters raises concerns that doubts about the election results could lead to widespread unrest, similar to the fallout following the 2020 election. With election day still months away, the escalating tension suggests that questions surrounding the legitimacy of the 2024 election may become a central theme in the political discourse moving forward.
