Joyce Amaswache Onyango & Melissa Sanon | Informatix Health, Inc. | The Enterprise World

What began during one of healthcare’s most uncertain periods soon evolved into a broader mission centered on restoring reliability, compassion, and human connection within healthcare staffing. Founded at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Informatix Health, Inc. was built not simply to fill workforce gaps, but to strengthen the quality and continuity of care delivered across healthcare communities in Massachusetts. Guided by a people-first philosophy, the organization has continued to grow through trust-driven relationships, responsive workforce support, and a commitment to placing dependable professionals where they are needed most.

At the heart of this mission are Joyce Amaswache Onyango, Founder of Informatix Health, Inc., and Melissa Sanon, Operations Manager at Informatix Health Inc, whose collaborative leadership has helped shape an organization that balances operational excellence with compassionate, relationship-centered care. Their shared vision continues to position Informatix Health as a trusted healthcare workforce partner focused on supporting providers, empowering professionals, and strengthening care delivery through meaningful human connection.

A Mission to Restore Reliability in Healthcare Staffing

In June 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Joyce Onyango founded Informatix Health in response to the growing staffing crisis affecting healthcare facilities. As a healthcare professional, she witnessed firsthand how workforce shortages were impacting patient care and recognized the urgent need for dependable healthcare staffing solutions.

What began as an effort to connect trusted nurses within her professional and community network soon evolved into a structured healthcare staffing organization built on reliability, responsiveness, and strong human relationships. Joyce personally managed recruitment, scheduling, operations, and clinical support in the company’s early stages, laying the foundation for a culture centered on accountability and compassionate service.

As Informatix Health expanded, the organization broadened its services to include home-based care for veterans and private clients in 2024. During this phase, Melissa Sanon joined as Operations Manager and played a key role in strengthening operations, recruitment, and workforce coordination. Her leadership helped scale the company while maintaining its relationship-driven approach to care and staffing.

Today, Informatix Health continues to grow as a trusted healthcare workforce partner committed to supporting providers, strengthening care delivery, and serving communities across Massachusetts.

Managing Challenges by Being Resourceful and Strategic

One of the most significant challenges Joyce Amaswache Onyango faced while building Informatix Health was managing cash flow during the company’s early growth stages. Delayed payments from healthcare facilities often created operational pressure, especially while payroll commitments still needed to be met consistently. Limited access to financing added another layer of difficulty as the organization worked to establish itself in a demanding healthcare staffing market.

At the same time, Informatix Health was competing against rapidly growing technology-driven staffing platforms while still operating through a more hands-on and relationship-centered model. This required Joyce to remain highly involved in recruitment, scheduling, and daily workforce coordination to ensure both clients and healthcare professionals received dependable support.

She navigated these challenges through resourcefulness, strategic decision-making, and mentorship. By strengthening internal scheduling operations, maintaining consistent recruitment efforts, and leveraging available personal support systems when necessary, Joyce successfully built a reliable workforce model that continues to support the company’s growth today.

An Intentional Approach to Strengthening Performance

A defining moment in Joyce Onyango’s leadership journey came when she began working closely with experienced mentors to strengthen the operational and strategic direction of Informatix Health. Their guidance helped her identify critical areas for growth and make more focused decisions around recruitment, client engagement, and organizational development.

With a clearer operational structure in place, Joyce introduced more intentional systems for workforce coordination and client communication. She prioritized consistent relationship management with healthcare facilities, ensuring concerns were addressed proactively and staffing support remained dependable even during periods of high demand.

Her leadership also strengthened recruitment efforts by focusing on building a workforce aligned with the organization’s values of reliability, professionalism, and compassionate care. This people-centered approach improved internal efficiency, strengthened client confidence, and supported stronger continuity across staffing placements.

By combining strategic planning with hands-on leadership, Joyce helped position Informatix Health for sustainable growth while reinforcing its reputation as a responsive and trusted healthcare staffing partner.

A Relationship-Driven Approach to Healthcare Staffing

Joyce Onyango has differentiated Informatix Health through a relationship-centered approach to healthcare staffing. While many modern staffing platforms prioritize speed and automation, she believes healthcare requires trust, continuity, and a strong human connection. Her focus has remained on placing dependable professionals in environments where familiarity and consistency can strengthen both patient care and workplace collaboration.

A defining aspect of her leadership is her continued involvement in daily operations. Joyce maintains direct communication with employees, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and connected to the organization’s mission even as the company continues to grow.

Through the process of scaling Informatix Health, Joyce has learned the importance of mentorship, adaptability, and professional networking. She believes strong relationships and guidance from experienced mentors have played a critical role in helping her navigate growth while building a sustainable healthcare staffing organization.

Informatix Health: Growth, Reach, and Workforce Impact Since 2020

Informatix Health has grown from a small local staffing agency into a multi-service healthcare workforce partner serving facilities, private home-based clients, veterans, and community programs across the Commonwealth.

What began with a focus on healthcare facilities has expanded into broader care support services, with plans to launch Adult Foster Care and Group Adult Foster Care programs following CARF accreditation in 2025.

Creating New Pathways Through Partnership

Recognizing the importance of mentorship and community-driven support, she actively sought opportunities to connect with organizations aligned with Informatix Health’s mission and values. A key milestone in this journey was Informatix Health’s partnership with Small Business Development Center (SBDC) mentor Tony Fiore and Women of Color Entrepreneurs (WOCE). Through this collaboration, Joyce gained access to mentorship, business development resources, and a broader professional network that helped strengthen the company’s strategic direction. The WOCE partnership also created opportunities for greater visibility and opened pathways for Informatix Health to expand its presence within hospital and healthcare environments.

For Joyce Amaswache Onyango, these collaborations represented more than business opportunities. They reinforced her belief that sustainable growth is built through shared knowledge, trusted relationships, and a willingness to learn from experienced leaders. This perspective continues to shape how she approaches expansion, leadership, and long-term impact within the healthcare staffing industry.

The Human Side of Trust

As Informatix Health continues to grow, Joyce Onyango remains focused on maintaining the trust, accountability, and service quality that shaped the organization from the beginning. She stays closely connected to both clients and healthcare professionals, ensuring concerns are addressed quickly and support remains consistent across operations.

Her leadership style is deeply people-centered and influenced by her background as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Joyce prioritizes emotional well-being within her teams and fosters a supportive environment where employees feel valued, heard, and involved in problem-solving. She believes collaboration and open communication strengthen both workplace culture and service delivery.

Personally, Joyce stays resilient through adaptability, continuous learning, and self-reflection. Her ability to remain grounded while evolving with the healthcare industry continues to shape the long-term direction of Informatix Health.

The impact of Joyce Amaswache Onyango’s leadership is reflected not only in the growth of Informatix Health but also in the confidence healthcare organizations place in the company during demanding situations. Over the years, facilities and care providers across Massachusetts have consistently recognized the organization for its responsiveness, professionalism, and dependable staffing support.

Maria L., Director of Operations at an assisted living facility, highlighted the strong partnership Informatix Health provides through reliable communication and consistent staffing support. Jodi, a Scheduling Coordinator at a nursing facility, praised the team’s timely response during a particularly demanding week, specifically recognizing the additional support provided by scheduler Yvonne in managing complex staffing needs.

D. Bell, Director of Day Habilitation, also acknowledged the professionalism of an Informatix Health nurse who stepped into an unexpected emergency situation with confidence, quickly adapted to the environment, and provided effective clinical support when it was needed most.

For Joyce, these experiences represent more than positive feedback. They reflect the deeper responsibility that comes with healthcare staffing and reinforce her belief that reliability, trust, and human connection remain essential to delivering meaningful care support.

The Future of Relationship-Driven Staffing

Healthcare staffing continues to evolve rapidly, with technology and artificial intelligence reshaping how organizations recruit, manage, and deploy healthcare professionals. Joyce Onyango recognizes that the industry is moving toward faster and more flexible staffing models focused on real-time clinician placement and workforce responsiveness.

As these changes continue to transform healthcare operations, Joyce has remained focused on adapting strategically while preserving the relationship-centered values that define Informatix Health. She understands the growing role of AI and data-driven systems in improving recruitment efficiency, strengthening candidate matching, and supporting workforce retention through better role alignment.

At the same time, Joyce Amaswache Onyango believes that healthcare staffing cannot rely on technology alone. Her leadership approach reflects a balance between operational adaptability and personalized support, allowing Informatix Health to respond effectively to industry changes while continuing to deliver dependable staffing solutions built on strong professional relationships.

An Open Letter to Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare Staffing

To aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs,

You can’t build success in this space alone. It’s really about connection; building strong relationships, networking intentionally, and putting people first over profits. When you focus on trust, collaboration, and doing right by both clients and employees, opportunities naturally follow and doors open in ways money alone can’t create. An African Proverb says, “ You want to go fast, go alone; you want to go far, go together.”

Sincerely,

Joyce Amaswache Onyango
