Natural Remedies vision is — ‘We Apply Science and Harness Nature for Health and Happiness, Sustainably.’

At Natural Remedies, sustainability is not just a goal — it forms the foundation of their purpose. As global enablers of safe food worldwide, they operate with utmost care and responsibility to foster healthy, thriving communities. Their commitment to sustainability touches every aspect of operations, ensuring the delivery of effective phytogenic solutions while ensuring safe food for the society and greener environment.

Embracing ESG Principles

Natural Remedies’ journey is deeply rooted in the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). For them, ESG is not a checklist. Through collaboration with farmers, local communities, and customers, they have strengthened food safety while nurturing sustainable livelihoods.

Through their HerbSecure program, farmers across India have been empowered, sourcing from 250+ certified suppliers and supporting 400+ farmers across 560 hectares of cultivation.

Responsible Operations

Natural Remedies has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and has already made significant progress:

  • Installed 400 kW rooftop solar panels to promote renewable energy.
  • Introduced Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for energy efficiency.\
  • Recycles 25 tons of plastic annually and diverts 68 MT of waste from landfills each year.
  • Achieved a 10% reduction in Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) year-over-year.
  • Currently sources 60% of their power from green energy.
  •  Follows a zero liquid discharge system, ensuring no wastewater is released into the environment.
  • Actively plants trees to expand green cover at their facilities.
  • Received Green Building Certification by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

Anniyalam – A Model for Eco-Friendly Manufacturing

Their Anniyalam facility exemplifies eco-friendly operations, featuring rooftop solar panels, natural lighting and ventilation, and a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system that processes 23 KL of water daily.

Built with eco-friendly, biodegradable materials, the site encourages biodiversity, reduces environmental impact, and integrates rainwater harvesting systems to minimize reliance on external water sources.

Sustainable Sourcing

Natural Remedies embraces sustainable sourcing practices that protect both quality and the environment. For example, they naturally sun-dry amla, significantly reducing energy consumption while preserving the herb’s potency, reflecting their dedication to responsible production.

A Holistic Approach to Health

Believing in the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, Natural Remedies provides holistic healthcare solutions. Their adherence to standards such as FDA, GMP, NABL, Kosher, ISO 22000, and ISO 9001:2015 underscores their commitment to quality, ethics, and safety.

Empowering Their People

Natural Remedies fosters an inclusive workplace through initiatives like the Journey for Empowerment, embedding diversity and equity into their culture. Employees are also encouraged to undertake Vipassana retreats, a type of meditation practice for personal growth, mental resilience, and well-being.

Giving Back to Communities

Their sustainability vision extends beyond business. Through partnerships with NGOs like Diyaghar, Ekal Foundation, and STEPs, they support education, skill development, and community welfare for underprivileged children across India.

Sustainability Milestones

Natural Remedies has aligned their work with eight Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), impacting 1,000 acres of farmland, consistently recycling plastics, planting trees, and promoting holistic health solutions for people and animals.

At Natural Remedies, sustainability is not just a commitment — it is their guiding principle. By harnessing nature and applying science, they continue to create health, happiness, and a safer, greener world for generations to come.
