A recent survey conducted by Blind, an anonymous professional network app, has identified the top-rated and worst-rated tech companies to work for in India in 2025. According to the findings, U.S. retail giant Target and Nvidia has emerged as the best company for tech professionals in India, closely followed by AI chipmaker Nvidia, which secured the second spot. Global tech powerhouses such as Apple, Google, and Meta also made their way into the top 10 rankings, indicating a strong preference among Indian tech professionals for companies that emphasize employee well-being and leadership trust.
The rankings of Target and Nvidia based on verified employee reviews from professionals in India over the past year, reveal significant insight into workplace satisfaction. Notably, American Express was ranked second overall, despite offering one of the lowest median salaries among the listed firms. This outcome emphasizes that salary alone does not determine employee satisfaction, with workplace culture and leadership trust emerging as key drivers.
Companies like ServiceNow, Zoho, Akamai Technologies, Arista Networks, VMware, and JPMorgan Chase also scored high in terms of company culture. In the category of trust in management, Apple, AMD, Pure Storage, Harness, and EPAM Systems joined the leading group, illustrating the importance employees place on effective leadership.
Amazon and Paytm Among Lowest-Rated Tech Employers
While some companies earned praise for fostering supportive work environments, others fell significantly short. Amazon was ranked the lowest among tech companies operating in India, according to the Blind survey. Other companies listed at the bottom include Indian fintech firm Paytm, ad-tech platform InMobi, crypto exchange Coinbase, and legacy tech firm IBM. Sprinklr also featured among the least favorable workplaces.
The report noted a striking discrepancy between compensation and overall employee satisfaction. Coinbase, for example, offers a median salary of $82,000—among the top 12% in terms of pay—yet ranked poorly due to low scores in cultural and management metrics. Conversely, American Express, with a reported median salary of just $32,250, achieved a high overall ranking thanks to strong ratings in trust and organizational culture.
Commenting on the results, Blind’s Communications Manager Alex Han stated, “Our analysis shows that company culture and management have the strongest ties to overall ratings, while compensation shows the weakest.”
Trends Point to Career Growth and Global Aspirations
The Blind study also shed light on the aspirations and interests of Indian professionals. The most frequently searched companies over the past year included Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, and NVIDIA. Other names like ByteDance, Netflix, OpenAI, and Walmart also featured prominently. The study revealed that trending keywords such as “India offer,” “layoff,” “referral,” “promotion,” and “H-1B” were commonly used, suggesting that Indian professionals are actively exploring both domestic growth and global career opportunities.
Overall, Target and Nvidia data underscores a shift in employee priorities—where factors like a positive workplace culture, trustworthy leadership, and growth potential are proving more influential than high pay alone.
