Stake Make Moves Into The Americas

Stake.com Make Moves Into The Americas | The Enterprise World

Stake.com is fastest becoming one of the world’s leading betting sites and bookmakers, and moves are now being made into The Americas as part of move to sweep the world.

First formed in Melbourne, Australia, by sports enthusiast Eddie Miroslav and Ed Craven’s company EasyGo, Stake.com actually doesn’t trade in the country where the operations are run from. Australia is one of the few territories where Stake isn’t in business though.

They opted to differentiate themselves from other global operates by launching as a specialist cryptocurrency betting site and casino. They did so by supporting 19 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Tron, EOS, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple to target a new audience.

Stake.com have cleverly used partnership and sponsorship as the fuel for their rapid growth.

They have backed UFC, football teams Everton and Watford and the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team, while also having Sergio Aguero and rapper Drake as ambassadors to raise the profile.

Having been hugely successful launching in markets in Europe, Asia and Africa, Stake has now headed further west and is now in The Americas.

The first move into this side of the Atlantic was made with the launch of Stake.us, a first foray into the booming United States gambling industry – although not with a sportsbook in the same way many competitors have opted.

Instead, Stake.us was launched as a social casino in 2022 and offers sweepstake promotions and free cash envelopes across more than 1,000 games online and the Stake.US promo code NEWBONUS

From exclusives such as Dice, Crash, Plinko, Mines, Diamonds, Video Poker and Baccarat, to slots and table games, Stake have created a fun environment although sports betting is not yet on the agenda.

Bettors in Canada do have access to Stake.com, which is one of the biggest sportsbooks available to sports fans in the country. The online casino is also proving to be hugely popular too as the global expansion continues.

Even if the more regulated state of Ontario, Stake have presence with Stake.ca launched late this year exclusively for customers here. It is fully licenced and ticks the boxes when it comes to no advertising being permitted in Ontario.

Mexico is also a Stake hub and, most recently, Stake have taken the first steps into legal markets in South American with the creation of Stake.co in Colombia. That followed setting up operations in Paraguay too.

Announced by owners EasyGo, Stake have purchased the licence of Betfair Colombia from Flutter Entertainment to ensure a quick and easy move into the Colombian market. That licence is not due to expire until 2025 and gives Stake time to get a foothold over the next 12 months or so.

The move signals Stake’s first footsteps into an untapped Latin American betting market that is expected to see a serious boom during 2024 with Brazil and Peru next on the planned expansion hitlist.

“Expanding into the Colombian market is a strategic decision that aligns perfectly with our vision for growth and innovation,” Easygo chief strategy officer Brais Pena said, announcing the deal to buy the arm of Betfair.

“Colombia’s position as the first regulated market in Latin America, coupled with its stable environment and robust entertainment industry, makes it an ideal destination for Stake’s expansion, with the intention of being one of the dominant players in the market in two years.

“We view the Colombian market as a pivotal entry point for our Latin American expansion. We are committed to contributing positively to the local economy, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional entertainment value to our customers.”
